An enterprise bears a heavy burden of responsibility to the manifold parties it works with and works for, from employees and their families to customers, business partners and, of course, its stakeholders. In order to fulfill this obligation to these people, it must have the capacity and competence as a company to add to and further enhance its corporate value, a process that is hopefully satisfies the needs and wants of its stakeholders. And the paramount key to ensuring that it remains robust and capable is to generate consistent, visionary growth.
In recent years, client needs in the global human resources industry have undergone dramatic, far-reaching changes as a result of revisions to laws and regulations in respective markets worldwide. Still, providers of outsourced HR services that manage to exploit this paradigm shift should be able to achieve a level of growth never experienced before-a performance surge that transcends existing operating returns.
The success or failure of such a HR service provider will be contingent largely on the degree of maximum risk it undertakes and its willingness to aggressively tackle the challenges that lie ahead.
In 2016, the OUTSOURCING Group invested more than JPY43.0 billion to acquire various companies-every acquisition made in response to a tectonic shift in client needs taking place on a global scale in order to achieve a veritable quantum growth leap for the Group.
A concurrent benefit from these acquisitions is that the Group has been able to secure the services of business leaders who have an outstanding track record of success in the countries and markets in which they operate. I am proud to welcome these executives as board members of OUTSOURCING Group, for they, too, are firmly committed to our goals of satisfying stakeholders, aggressively tackling challenges and delivering quantum leaps in growth.
Going forward, these new members will spearhead the development of strategies that leapfrog business conventions in Japan, enhancing and expanding coordination with Group leaders in the countries and markets in which we operate with the aim of maximizing intra-Group synergies. And in doing so, we will achieve a level of growth that far exceeds that ever achieved through our existing business lines.
